An insider claimed that although Sonam has multiple Bollywood films in the upcoming lineup, King would be the biggest one among all of them. Moreover, the makers are yet to disclose other details related to Sonam's character in the film.

In between all these, social media users have speculated that Sonam might portray Suhana Khan's mother in the film. Notably, Suhana is playing one of the leads alongside Abhishek Bachchan.
If that's the case, Deepika Padukone would have been a better choice, considering that the actress' collaboration with SRK has managed to bring heavy profits in terms of box office collections.
