The Telangana government is preparing for the upcoming Budget Session by conducting detailed reviews of various departments. These meetings begin on Saturday and will continue until February 5, focusing on additions and deductions for the 2026-27 state budget.

On January 24, officials from agriculture, marketing, textile, panchayati raj, water supply and women's welfare departments will participate in discussions. The aim is to assess financial needs and revise allocations based on current priorities.

Departments handling roads and buildings, revenue and housing will be reviewed on January 27. On January 28, proposals from irrigation, civil supplies, forest and environment, and endowments departments will be taken up for evaluation.

Reviews for transport, BC Welfare, tourism and excise departments are scheduled on January 29. On January 30, labour, employment and animal husbandry departments will hold their meetings, followed by health and welfare and minority welfare reviews on January 31.

On February 2, IT, Assembly Affairs, SC and Tribal welfare departments will submit their proposals. Education and municipal departments are scheduled for February 3, while GAD, revenue and home department officials will meet on February 4.

The final reviews on February 5 will cover law, finance and planning departments. Meetings related to departments under CM Revanth Reddy will be attended by him. After the Union Budget on February 1, necessary changes will be made to the state budget plans.
