Telangana Jagruthi has made its political boni in the first phase of panchayat elections held on December 11. All candidates supported by Jagruthi secured sarpanch seats, marking a strong beginning for the organisation.
Shankar supported by Jagruthi in Tadi Biloli of Renjal mandal won as sarpanch. Chand from Minarpalli, Tara from Bodhan, Sumalata Jadhav from Virannagutta tanda of Renjal, Kamalakar from Rampur of Navipet mandal and Tirupati Lalitha Hanumandlu from Renjal village also won their sarpanch positions.
Kavitha has been strengthening Jagruthi after exiting from BRS. The outfit continues to run various outreach programmes under her guidance. Her focus is fully on Jagruthi activities.
Kavitha founded Telangana Jagruthi in 2006 and it has hosted many cultural events over the years. Strong rumours now suggest she may soon float her own political party. With the local body elections, it appears she is testing the waters before a major political move.
For Kavitha, this outcome is seen as a positive sign as she often speaks of becoming Telangana CM one day. She has openly expressed her political ambitions. After leaving BRS, where she was limited to Nizamabad, she is now expanding across the state to build a strong cadre for the future.
