According to the latest reports, TDP is aiming to contest in the upcoming sarpanch, MPTC and ZPTC elections, and also the GHMC elections which are scheduled to be held by the end of 2025 or in early 2026.

Reports say that Chandrababu Naidu recently met election strategists Prashant Kishor and Robin Sharma to discuss the party's revival in Telangana.

The survey found that the TDP cadre is still strong in rural areas but lacks leadership. Thus, the immediate requirement is to appoint the party's state president.

Reportedly, Teegala Krishna Reddy, Babu Mohan and Aravind Kumar Goud are competing for the presidential position. However, sources claim that Babu Mohan has a high chance of becoming the president. He worked for TDP in the past. However, after bifurcation, he shifted to BRS, then BJP and later to the Praja Shanti Party.

Meanwhile, most of the senior leaders who shifted to other parties after the state bifurcation are reportedly showing interest in joining the TDP soon. Many of these leaders met Chandrababu over the last few months and suggested he revive the party in the state, especially after the decline of the BRS.

Many seniors like Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Malla Reddy, Nagam Janardhan Reddy and Devender Goud worked for TDP in the past. If people like them rejoin the party, there is no doubt that it will soon be strengthened in the state.

As of now, TDP seems to be focusing on appointing a state president and recruiting senior leaders to help the party win a good number of seats in the local body elections.
