Anil Sharma is all set to return to the big screen after delivering the blockbuster Gadar 2. This time Anil has taken a different path with Vanvaas as it is going to be a family entertainer.

The trailer was recently released and it features glimpses of moments that are possibly going to leave everyone emotional.

Star Heroine's Success Ruined Brother's Life?

The trailer shows an aged man, played by Nana Patekar, willing to meet his children who abandoned him and are not willing to take him back again.

The children have also made a death certificate spending some money as we get to see a character saying that the main is irrelevant to them now.

Actress Slams Salman: Calls Out Dadagiri

In between all this, the lead character meets a young guy named Veeru Bhaiya Volunteer (Utkarsh Sharma) who promises the man to take him to his children. What happens next will be revealed once the film is released.

Anil Sharma has always been praised for his expertise in bringing real emotions on screen.

Alia Gets Insecure: Desperate for 500 Crore Film

The trailer has hinted that there will be a wide range of emotions present throughout the film and this should help to pull some crowds to the big screen.

But the emotions presented in the trailer do not hit us directly like they are supposed to. Nana Patekar has given his best and Utkarsh Sharma's character is routine without any unique elements.

Simrat Kaur plays the love interest of Utkarsh but her screen presence remains a question considering that the main focus of the story will be on Nana, his children, and Utkarsh.

Unfortunately, films like Vanvaas have lost their importance among the audience like they used to have many years ago. Anil Sharma is possibly confident that people would come to watch because Gadar 2 was a success.

Now the only question that remains is whether a positive word-of-mouth can help the film to recover its budget. Vanvaas will hit the big screen on December 20, 2024.
