Vamsi is in remand in the district jail. He got bail in all cases filed against him till now. He is likely to be released from jail tomorrow.
However, the AP government has approached the Supreme Court in illegal sand mining case against Vamsi. The hearing of the case is scheduled for Wednesday, July 2.
For the unversed, YSRCP leader and ex MLA, Vallabhaneni Vamsi had quite a few cases on him. The major cases were regarding attack on TDP headquarters in Mangalagiri and kidnap of key witness Satyavardhan in the case.

Then of course, there was the illegal sand mining case and the distribution of fake land pattas case.
Vamsi has been in remand for nearly 100 days since he was first arrested in Hyderabad. While the YSRCP says Vamsi was a victim of revenge politics, the ruling party maintains Vamsi's arrest was as per law.

Though Vallabhaneni Vamsi started his political career with TDP, he jumped into YSRCP. TDP supporters feel Vamsi ruined his career as he would have been a minister had he continued in TDP, instead of landing in jail.
