The much-anticipated film Vettaiyan, starring Superstar Rajinikanth, has completed its censoring process and received a UA certificate, allowing it to hit theaters on October 10, 2024, just in time for the Dussehra festival.
With a runtime of 2 hours and 43 minutes (163 minutes), the film aims to captivate pan-India audiences with its gripping storyline based on a fictional encounter in Tamil Nadu.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, known for his acclaimed work on Jai Bhim, the film showcases Rajinikanth in his 170th role, portraying a retired police officer.
The film also features notable actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Dushara Vijayan in significant roles.
Unbelievable Harassment By Popular Actor's Wife
The runtime of Vettaiyan is comparatively shorter than some recent pan-India films like Kali 2898 AD, Devara, or The GOAT. However, for a serious and dry subject like encounter killings, this length is a drawback.
Rajinikanth and director TJ Gnanavel face the challenging task of executing the film tightly to hold the audience's attention throughout the 2 hours 45 minutes duration.
Meiyazhagan Makers Take Shocking Decison
While the film features the chartbuster Manasilayo, the current buzz for Vettaiyan is low. To elevate excitement, especially outside Tamil Nadu, the film will need a superb trailer that captivates potential viewers and boosts hype ahead of its release.
The trailer is set to be released on October 2 coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti. The trailer will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.
