BRS working president KTR has stated that the 10 defected MLAs will not be allowed back into the party. He said they are currently without a party and BRS has no plans to take them back.
KTR compared their situation to "puttintollu tarimesaru, kattukunnollu vadilesaru". He said they are not even in a position to say they shifted parties. He pointed out that when Talasani joined BRS, he did it openly.
KTR criticised several leaders. He said Kadiyam Srihari had no character. He also claimed Saidi Reddy failed to secure sarpanch wins in his constituency and questioned his strength as a leader.
He stated that BRS is not worried if MLAs choose to shift parties. The party's performance in panchayat elections proved its strength. He expressed confidence that BRS will perform well in the upcoming MPTC and ZPTC elections.
Recently, the Telangana Speaker dismissed the disqualification of 5 defecting MLAs out of 10. Technically, the 5 remain with BRS. However, the party is showing no interest in entertaining defectors again.
KTR's comments indicate a firm stance. The political future of the defected MLAs is now uncertain. It remains to be seen which party the 5 will join next.
