After the official announcement of Lokesh Kanagaraj's film yesterday, conversations around Allu Arjun's upcoming projects have once again picked up speed.
The reason is simple, his lineup has become complicated, with multiple big films, long schedules, and no clear timelines in place.
To begin with, his film with Atlee is expected to continue at least until October. If that happens, the release will most likely be pushed to next year's summer season. On top of that, a film of this scale will need at least two to three months of promotions, which further tightens his calendar.
Even if the newly announced Lokesh Kanagaraj project goes on floors later this year, there is very little chance of it releasing any time before 2028. At the same time, Trivikram Srinivas's much talked about project with Allu Arjun remains unclear. While some reports suggest the project is still under discussion, others say it has been dropped. So far, there has been no official word to settle the confusion.
However, the biggest question mark is around another project. Soon after Pushpa 2, an official announcement was made about a film with Sandeep Reddy Vanga directing Allu Arjun for T Series. That announcement came more than two years ago, but since then, there has been complete silence. During this period, Sandeep Vanga spent nearly two years working on Spirit, and strong industry buzz from Mumbai suggests that once it is completed, he will move on to Animal Park.
Adding to the confusion are reports that Sandeep Vanga may next team up with either Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan or Chiranjeevi. If that happens, it naturally raises doubts about the status of the Allu Arjun and Vanga film. In fact, the gap has been so long that many fans have almost forgotten that such a collaboration was ever officially announced.
At this stage, whether the Allu Arjun and Sandeep Reddy Vanga combination will actually take off has become a big question. One clear update from the makers would immediately end all the speculation. What is clear, though, is that Allu Arjun has been extremely careful with his choices. In recent times, he also seems to be leaning more toward Tamil directors, which explains why Atlee was finalized first, followed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
The remaining question is whether Sandeep Vanga's story failed to fully convince Allu Arjun, or whether the script was simply not ready at the scale he was expecting. Fans have long imagined Allu Arjun in Sandeep Vanga's intense and raw style of storytelling. Whether that combination ever becomes a reality is something only time will tell.
