They appeared relaxed, shared light moments, and spoke about each other with ease.
Their comfort surprised many because Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Politics have always carried a complicated history. BRS built its political rise on strong anti-Andhra sentiment, with Chandrababu Naidu placed at the centre of that narrative. This shaped alliances and limited political space for the TDP in Telangana.
Other parties avoided joining hands with the Telugu Desam Party because BRS revived the same sentiment whenever needed. Congress tasted defeat in 2018 after allying with TDP, and many believed the Chandrababu Naidu factor hurt them. That perception stayed alive even after the election.
Because of that belief, BJP still hesitates to work with the TDP in Telangana, even though the party needs a stronger push. The alliance in Andhra Pradesh did not change its stand in Telangana. This contrast raised a larger question about political comfort and perception.
So why is Revanth Reddy the only leader who stays comfortable with Chandrababu Naidu? The answer lies in their open and consistent relationship. Revanth Reddy never abused Chandrababu Naidu while leaving the TDP. He even went to Amaravati and informed Naidu personally.
During his days in Opposition and even after becoming Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy continued to acknowledge Chandrababu Naidu. He openly said CBN helped his growth. Their relationship never worked in secrecy, unlike the alleged understanding between Jagan and KCR.
Since nothing stayed hidden between them, opponents had no space to politicise their bond. This openness helped Revanth Reddy tap into the TDP vote bank. Congress and TDP are traditional rivals, and convincing TDP supporters to vote for Congress is not easy.
Even Chandrababu Naidu struggled to shift that support in 2018 through political strategy. But Revanth Reddy succeeded by speaking directly to TDP voters and building trust. His connection helped Congress reach a base earlier considered unreachable.
The photos of Chandrababu Naidu and Revanth Reddy from the recent event explained that bond once again. It is no surprise that these pictures triggered discomfort among Opponents like BRS and YSR Congress. Their reactions showed how sensitive this equation still remains in both States.
