Pushpa 2 has opened on a superb note at the box office as the film is going bonkers in the Hindi belt where it is projected to collect over Rs 250 crore nett in the opening weekend itself.
Coming to the OTT side of things, the film has sealed Netflix as its OTT streaming partner.

But unlike the first part which released on OTT just three weeks after the theatrical release, the second part might have a delayed debut on Netflix.
The Hindi exhibition wing had mandated films to strike an 8-week OTT window clause if they are to screen films on OTT and they could have been persistent of the same in the case of Pushpa 2 which is a cash cow in the Hindi belt.

With this in mind, it could be argued that Pushpa 2 could be arriving on OTT at least eight weeks after the theatrical release. Adding to that, the film is sure to have a super long run at the Hindi box office which also means that it will be running in plexes and single screens for at least 4 weeks or more.
All this in mind, Pushpa 2 could be arriving on OTT only towards next February. But if the makers somehow pulled off a different deal with Netflix, it could be arriving earlier as well.

For now, the focus is on the theatrical run of Pushpa 2 while the OTT prospect will come into play only at a later point in time.
