Guwahati: A road accident was reported in the city on Monday after a speeding car lost control and crashed into a footpath and an electric pole in the Birubari area.
According to the initial report, the vehicle, a Tata Nexon bearing registration number AS01GA5653, was travelling from the Nepali Mandir area towards Lokhra when the driver reportedly lost control.
Three students of Royal Global University were inside the car at the time of the accident. One of them is said to be in critical condition, while the others also sustained injuries.
The impact of the crash caused major damage to the vehicle and raised concern among residents. Further details about the condition of the injured are awaited.
