In his new role, he will oversee financial operations, reporting, compliance and budgeting, while supporting the hotel's overall business strategy.

Kandan has been associated with Marriott International for over seven years, progressing through multiple finance roles across locations. Most recently, he served as Assistant Director of Finance in Nashik, where he was responsible for financial planning, controls and supporting operational decision-making.

Prior to this, he worked as Bench Finance Manager in Mumbai from July 2023 to April 2024, and as Finance Manager in Visakhapatnam from December 2022 to June 2023. He also held the role of Assistant Manager Finance in Visakhapatnam from November 2021 to November 2022.

Earlier in his career with Marriott International, he served as Finance Executive in Chennai from November 2018 to November 2021, handling accounting processes, audits and financial reporting.

Before joining Marriott, Kandan worked with Taj Hotels as a Finance Team Member in Chennai from November 2016 to November 2018.

He is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Madras.

In his current role, Kandan will lead the finance function at Courtyard by Marriott Nashik, focusing on financial management, compliance and operational support.
