InterContinental Boston appoints Shane McWeeny as General Manager
InterContinental Boston has announced the appointment of Shane McWeeny as General Manager.
McWeeny brings over 25 years of experience in hospitality leadership, with a background in hotel operations, team management, and strategic planning.
Prior to this role, he served as General Manager at Hotel Commonwealth. His previous experience also includes leadership positions at Boston Park Plaza, The Lenox Hotel, The Beverly Hills Hotel, and The Ritz-Carlton Boston Common, along with roles at Hyatt and independent hospitality properties.
He is a graduate of University of Massachusetts Amherst and is associated with the Massachusetts Lodging Association, where he contributes to initiatives related to sustainability, technology, and industry collaboration.
In his new role, he will oversee overall hotel operations, including guest services, team leadership, and strategic development.
