Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Appoints Sijo John as Director of Finance
Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Centre has announced the appointment of Sijo John as Director of Finance.
In this role, he will oversee financial operations, including budgeting, compliance, and strategic financial planning, supporting overall business performance and operational efficiency at the property.
Sijo John brings over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including more than 13 years with Marriott International. Most recently, he served as Director of Finance at JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru, where he led financial strategy aligned with brand and ownership objectives.
His previous roles include Financial Controller and Assistant Financial Controller at JW Marriott Bengaluru, Assistant Financial Controller at Fairfield by Marriott Whitefield, Finance Manager at Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield and Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru, and Finance Executive at Courtyard by Marriott Kochi Airport. He has also held positions at Zitahli Resorts & Spa in the Maldives, Dream Hotel Cochin, and Birla Public School.
He holds an MBA from ICFAI University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from St. Aloysius College Edathuva.
During his tenure, he has received multiple recognitions, including the Owner Relationship Award at the South Asia Finance Conference 2025 and the South Asia Finance Breakout Summit 2023, the APEC Quarterly Award (Q1 2024) for Forecast Accuracy in the Luxury Segment, the Cash Flow Excellence Award at the Bengaluru Market Annual DOF Meet 2024, and the Leadership Award (2023) at JW Marriott Bengaluru.
His experience includes leading budgeting and forecasting cycles, strengthening financial governance, and supporting business performance through strategic financial planning.
