Through the initiative, the Tourism Authority of Thailand is presenting Thailand's wellness, culture and responsible travel experiences to energy professionals attending the event from more than 150 countries. The programme also highlights Thailand's potential for leisure travel and Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE).

Gastech 2026 is hosted by Thailand's Ministry of Energy in cooperation with the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau. The event brings together government representatives, business leaders, energy professionals and investors, with more than 1,000 exhibitors participating.

Thailand's "Power of Journey" concept focuses on travel as a restorative experience shaped by wellness, local culture and community knowledge. It reflects growing interest in experiences that support wellbeing while encouraging connections with local traditions.

Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, said: "Gastech gives TAT an opportunity to engage with leaders, decision-makers and businesses from around the world while presenting another dimension of Thailand. Through 'Power of Journey: Healing is the New Luxury', we are showing how wellness, culture, food, the arts and local ways of life can add value and meaning to a journey."

At the TAT booth, "Feel All the Feelings" presents Thai destinations, lifestyles and culture through visual storytelling. "20 Low Carbon Lifestyles" highlights travel routes connecting nature, communities and local experiences with responsible tourism practices.

TAT Presents Thai Tourism Through Culture and Wellness

The "4 Senses of Authentic Heritage" feature rotates through four experiences: Thai tea, including its flavours, aromas and preparation; the Joe Louis Puppet Show, showcasing traditional Thai small puppetry; Thai massage, introducing traditional wellness practices; and Muay Thai, demonstrating the country's martial art through movement and techniques.

Cultural demonstrations and interactive activities provide visitors with opportunities to engage with Thai traditions. Thai herbal inhalers are also offered as souvenirs that reflect traditional wellness practices in a contemporary format.

Thailand's participation at Gastech 2026 provides an opportunity to engage with international decision-makers and investors while promoting Thailand for leisure and MICE travel.
