TAT Expands Tourism Partnerships
TAT Partners with TransNusa Airlines and Traveloka to Boost Indonesia Tourism
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has signed separate Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with TransNusa Airlines and Traveloka to strengthen tourism cooperation between Thailand and Indonesia.
The agreements, signed in Jakarta, focus on improving air connectivity, expanding digital tourism marketing and increasing visitor arrivals from Indonesia while supporting closer tourism and business ties between the two countries.

The MOUs were signed by Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of TAT, Datuk Bernard Francis, Aviation Group Chief Executive Officer of TransNusa Airlines, and Albert, Co-founder of Traveloka.
Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor, Tourism Authority of Thailand, said:
“Indonesia is an important market for Thailand, supported by close cultural ties, convenient travel and growing interest in diverse tourism experiences. These partnerships combine improved air connectivity, digital promotion and market insights to encourage more Indonesian visitors while supporting tourism across established and emerging destinations.”

Under the partnership with TransNusa Airlines, TAT will work on tourism promotion, travel product development and strengthening air services between Indonesia and Thailand. Joint activities will include tourism fairs, digital marketing campaigns, workshops, familiarisation trips and initiatives to support the Jakarta-Bangkok and Bali-Phuket routes.
The agreement with Traveloka will focus on promoting Thai destinations through the platform’s digital network and consumer insights. The partnership will also support responsible tourism by sharing travel information, consumer trends, tourism policies, entry requirements and safety guidance.

TAT said the combined partnerships are intended to improve connectivity while supporting tourism growth across Thailand.
According to TAT, 376,337 Indonesian travellers visited Thailand between 1 January and 31 July 2026, staying for an average of six nights. Popular travel interests included Thai cuisine, historical attractions, community-based tourism, wellness experiences and beach destinations.

The tourism authority aims to welcome 890,000 Indonesian visitors during 2026.
