Tamil star Karthi received a special surprise for fans on his 49th birthday as the makers of his landmark 30th film officially shared a major update from the project.

Production house Sithara Entertainments released pictures from the film's pooja ceremony, which was held earlier this month at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

The upcoming movie is being directed by Kalyan Shankar, who earned recognition with the youthful entertainer MAD. The untitled project is being made as a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu, aiming to connect with audiences across both industries. According to the makers, shooting is currently progressing at a brisk pace.

Actress Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the female lead opposite Karthi, and the team has promised a completely fresh entertainer packed with fun and energy. The title announcement is expected to be revealed soon, adding more curiosity around the project.
