Mumbai: Indus Towers Limited has appointed Venkatesh Tiwari as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective April 1, 2026. The appointment is part of a planned leadership transition, with current COO Tejinder Singh Kalra set to retire on August 31, 2026. Tiwari will be part of the company's Senior Management Personnel (SMP).
As Leader for Amazon Now, Seller Fulfilment, and third-party logistics (3PL) channels, he played a key role in launching quick commerce offerings in India and scaling ultra-fast delivery ecosystems. He also led initiatives across grocery operations, same-day delivery, and logistics networks, while previously managing middle-mile and last-mile operations for Amazon India. During his tenure, Tiwari was instrumental in driving some of Amazon India's key strategic initiatives, including expanding delivery coverage across the country and building one of the fastest quick-commerce launches within Amazon's global network. His efforts contributed to enhancing delivery speed, reliability, and accessibility for a wide base of customers and sellers. Earlier in his career, Tiwari held senior leadership roles at Samsung, Airtel, and Perfetti Van Melle, where he worked across operations, customer service, and sales and marketing functions, contributing to key business and operational advancements. Tiwari holds a B.Tech in Electronics and Communications from Birla Institute of Technology Mesra and an MBA in Marketing and International Business from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.
