The Andhra Pradesh High Court took a key decision by accepting the lunch motion petition filed by YSRCP leader and former minister Jogi Ramesh's son.
Jogi Rohith approached the High Court stating that his house was attacked and set on fire by a few unsocial elements. He said the incident could have resulted in loss of lives.
Jogi Rohith alleged that people who opposed his father politically were behind the attack. He demanded that those responsible should be identified and questioned. He also said strict action must be taken against them.
Rohith said criminal cases should be filed against those who tried to burn his house. He also requested police protection for his family. He expressed concern over their safety in the present political situation.
The Court heard the case on an emergency basis and issued directions to the government. It asked officials to submit full details related to the incident. The Court also instructed the government to ensure proper law and order.
