Amidst controversies and name calling, CM Revanth Reddy presented his own rhetoric about the beautification of Hyderabad city.
Revanth Reddy is pretty obsessed with the idea of developing night tourism in Hyderabad as is seen in other cities and global cities.
The logic is that such cities tend to be financially viable and attract tourists.
Saying that the Nizams, Chandrababu and YSR started many projects that went on to help the city turn into a beautiful destination, the CM said rehabilitation of some people is inevitable. The CM promised to take the onus of providing market-friendly options to the relocated families.
The CM has already laid the foundation stone for trumpet interchange at Budwel and eco hill park at Kotwalguda by planting a sapling. Things need to change and efforts are required to upgrade and revitalize the city from time to time. CM Revanth Reddy says it's time Hyderabad needs a revamp.
In 5 years, the city will have a bullet train for increased connectivity and riverfront night life. This is bound to place the city on international tourism map. Revanth Reddy is all about big plans for Hyderabad.
But will this obsession with Hyderabad result in leaving out rest of Telangana as was seen in the past? Will development mean relocation of people who made their homes for years? Is the CM all talk? These are some important questions that come up when the CM Talks of development.
Infighting in the party and simmering public furore over land grabbing/ acquisition in the heart of the city are some flashpoints. Hyderabadis want an answer. Who will provide answers?
