BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who was arrested in March due to her alleged involvement in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam, was released in August this year.

After her release from jail, Kavitha stayed away from active politics for a few months citing health reasons. Now, she is back in the field and is actively participating in her party meetings.

Kavitha recently held a meeting with the BC leaders, participated in the Deeksha Diwas events and today, she attended the party leaders meeting in Korutla.

If we observe Kavitha in all these events, one thing is visible is she is calmer and is delivering her statements in a dignified manner, unlike her brother KTR and cousin Harish Rao, who are constantly using offensive language against CM Revanth Reddy and other Congress leaders.

When questioned about the same, KTR openly stated that since Revanth disrespects KCR and uses abusive language against him, he will respond in the same manner.

However, Kavitha has taken a different approach. In today's meeting, she made a subtle satire on Revanth, who frequently calls KCR a "mokka" and vows to uproot him soon. Kavitha said that KCR is not a "mokka" but a "vegu chukka" (celestial star), adding that no one can harm him.

Kavitha is refraining from using offensive language or making derogatory statements, which is commendable. But is this a sign of maturity after her arrest, or is she playing safe to avoid potential political risks this time?

On the whole, it looks like the arrest brought a big change in her. Whatever the reason, the BRS cadre is welcoming this change in Kavitha's approach and is eager to see her take a more active political role moving forward.
