Peddi & Paradise: Tollywood Repeating Same Blunder Again?

Peddi & Paradise: Tollywood Repeating Same Blunder Again?

The Sankranti season has now come to an end, and Tollywood can look back at it with satisfaction. Films like Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu and Nari Nari Naduma Murari turned successful, despite Raja Saab incurring massive losses.

This has given Tollywood a huge boost at the very start of 2026.

Delivering three hit films in the very first month helped the industry breathe easy after a difficult phase. Naturally, everyone now hopes that this momentum and positive energy will continue. The good news is that promising films are lined up. The only concern is proper planning, which currently seems to be missing among producers.

If we ignore February, March becomes a very crucial month for Tollywood. The summer season usually begins around that time. However, there is still no clear picture about which films will be released in March. As per earlier plans, Peddi and The Paradise were supposed to arrive with just a one-day gap. The producers even announced those release dates confidently. But now, both films are not arriving as planned. This has left the entire March slot empty.

There is talk that Ustaad Bhagat Singh might release on March 27, but there is still no official confirmation. If that film arrives, March can be saved to some extent. Otherwise, the month may go completely wasted, which would be a big loss at the start of the summer season.

Looking ahead, several promising films are lined up. Projects like Dacoit and Swayambhu are trying to grab some buzz among audiences. Unfortunately, there is no clarity about their release dates either. Because of this, the films' hype is not picking up. No one knows which film will arrive on time and which one will get postponed. This confusion needs to end.

Producers must clearly announce release dates for their films. That clarity will automatically create space and flexibility for other films. Last year, Tollywood wasted the summer season due to poor planning. If the industry wants to avoid repeating that mistake, it must act responsibly now. Otherwise, last minute chaos will only increase. Especially big films like Peddi and The Paradise should lock and announce their release dates soon to reduce pressure and uncertainty for the rest of the industry.
