Many are now wondering whether the team behind Fauzi has deliberately leaked a release date update to secure the same festive window. This speculation has gained traction as sources say the makers may announce a tentative release date very soon, possibly within this week. The date being discussed is October 15 tentative, and reports claim the team has already spoken to OTT partners about this schedule.
At present, Prabhas has three major films on hand. Fauzi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, and Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, are both currently in the shooting stage. Meanwhile, Kalki 2, directed by Nag Ashwin, is expected to go on floors soon.
After the disastrous result of The Raja Saab, Prabhas fans strongly demanded that Spirit should release before Fauzi. They believe Spirit is a more powerful, high impact film and can help re establish Prabhas as a strong box office force. This demand came despite the fact that Fauzi is already more than 50 percent complete, while Spirit began shooting much later.
What surprised fans was the silence from the Fauzi team. In contrast, the makers of Spirit officially announced its release date as March 5, 2027, even though that project started later. This announcement further strengthened the belief that Spirit would arrive first.
Now, the sudden leaks about Fauzi targeting an October 15 Dussehra release have raised new questions. Is this move influenced by reports that Peddi might also be eyeing the same festive window? This comes after it was postponed from its earlier March 27, 2026 date.
