Revanth Reddy to Break Ground For Future City

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will soon launch his ambitious project, Future City. In the first phase, the government will develop it on 30,000 acres of land.

The project is designed as India's first net-zero greenfield smart city.

Future City will have nine zones in its initial stage, including residential, commercial, industrial, recreational and green spaces. It will also feature AI and fintech hubs, renewable energy systems, smart mobility solutions, and next-generation infrastructure to create a self-sustaining urban ecosystem.

The city, also called Fourth City, is strategically planned between the Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar highways. It will be governed by the Future City Development Authority (FCDA), which will oversee its planning, infrastructure, and future expansion.

Future City is expected to draw homeowners, land investors, NRIs, start-ups, and industrial players. With long-term prospects, it aims to position itself as a hub for both residential living and business innovation.

The launch of Future City comes as Telangana heads into local body elections. The Congress government, which failed to win a single Assembly seat in Greater Hyderabad, hopes this project will strengthen its promise of turning Hyderabad into a modern smart city.
